Requirements

Must have a valid 313A Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Systems license (Red Seal Designation preferred)
Must have a valid Gas Technician 2 Certificate (G1 preferred)
Must have or be willing to obtain an Ozone Depletion Prevention Certificate
Sound working knowledge of CSA B149.1
High regard for health and safety
Must be customer and team oriented, as well as self-motivated and able to work successfully with minimal supervision

Responsibilities

Work closely with lead HVAC mechanic to gain knowledge and skills as required
Coordinate, conduct or assist with all preventative, corrective and emergency maintenance activities, including those activities performed by Ascent’s clients or vendor staff
Manage client and vendor staff in the maintenance of buildings and grounds
Perform initial troubleshooting to mechanical and infrastructural systems, HVAC systems, plumbing systems, life safety systems, security systems, roofs, drains, shop equipment, emergency power systems, and systems furniture
Routinely inspect buildings, space, grounds and/or equipment regularly for problematic or unsafe conditions
Perform and oversee general and preventative maintenance tasks including equipment checks, equipment performance monitoring, cleaning, lubrication and service of a wide variety of components/devices
Coordinate, conduct or assist with facility renovations, upgrades, and build-outs including overseeing vendors
Manage and maintain site Building Management Systems, CCTV, Access Control System
Support overall site operation of the data center facility
Other duties as assigned
