Requirements

  • 4+ years experience supporting Production Data Centers
  • Comfortable using a command line interface
  • Hands-on experience installing fiber optic cabling
  • Basic understanding of power cabling and PDUs (Power Distribution Units)
  • Familiarity with Linux and other network operating systems
  • Familiar with server, storage, network technologies
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lb
  • Ability to express good judgment to take action & move forward
  • Ability to work collaboratively with both local and remote teams
  • Must be able to work on-site in Tukwila, WA (within reasonable commuting distance)
  • May require occasional off-hours work for maintenance windows

Responsibilities

  • Perform hardware installation, configuration, and testing of data center equipment
  • Perform server and network upgrades within a production data center
  • Run fiber optic and copper cabling to support growing infrastructure
  • Maintain proper cable documentation and cable management standards
  • Conduct Server configuration & Layer 2 Network configuration
  • Troubleshoot hardware and connectivity issues
  • Follow data center best practices and security protocols
  • Assist with inventory management and asset tracking
  • Participate in Data Center and expansion builds outs
