Requirements

  • 10-12 years of experience as a Senior Data Architect or similar role
  • Experience designing, building, and optimizing data infrastructure and analytics platforms
  • Expertise in defining future state data architecture aligned with business objectives and data strategy
  • Proficiency in creating and maintaining conceptual, logical, and physical data models
  • Skills in evaluating data-related tools, technologies, and recommending implementation patterns
  • Knowledge of data integration, ETL pipeline development, data warehousing (especially cloud-based), data governance, and quality checks
  • Experience with visualization platforms (e.g., Looker) and preparing data for self-service analytics
  • Familiarity with GA4, BigQuery, HR data integration, and user analytics enrichment

Responsibilities

  • Define and design the future state data architecture for WPP Open reporting, forecasting, and analysis products
  • Lead the design and build of new data models and pipelines for financial results and operational insights
  • Develop and maintain processes, standards, policies, guidelines, and governance for the data ecosystem
  • Create and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models to ensure data integrity and usability
  • Evaluate data-related tools and technologies, recommending modern, secure, and efficient methodologies
  • Design and manage data integration from relevant sources into a central data lake
  • Build, monitor, and maintain robust ETL pipelines for data processing and structuring
  • Manage and optimize the cloud data warehouse for efficient storage, security, and querying
  • Implement and manage data quality checks and governance policies
  • Prepare and model data for visualization platforms to enable self-service analytics
  • Provide the foundational data layer for other squads
  • Partner with stakeholders to refine reporting, focusing on high-impact KPIs and deprecating low-value metrics
  • Solve GA4 UserID masking challenges and enrich user analytics with HR data in BigQuery
  • Improve Looker experiences by consolidating dashboards into a unified, intuitive format
  • Ensure platform stability, reliability, and data integrity
