Requirements

Candidates should have coursework or relevant training in data analytics, programming, or computing systems, along with proven problem-solving and analytical abilities including pattern detection, root cause analysis, and issue resolution. Experience with Python, pandas, SQL, and relational database systems is required, as is an interest in programming and data analysis/data science. A degree in a technical field is necessary, and preferred qualifications include experience in data operations with proven process improvement skills, an understanding of the software development process and hands-on coding exposure, experience in exploratory data analysis and applied statistics, and familiarity with Linux. While financial industry experience is a plus, critical thinkers passionate about technology and data are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

The Data Analyst will be responsible for owning and simplifying the flow of data used by production trading algorithms. This involves performing manual steps and developing automated processes to ensure the completeness and integrity of massive amounts of financial data, and partnering with research staff to curate new and existing datasets. The role also includes driving continuous improvements to data quality procedures, designing systematic and automated processes and tools for scaling and onboarding new datasets, and sharing an on-call rotation to ensure the continuous operation of production-critical systems.
