Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields
  • 10+ years of experience in automotive cybersecurity engineering, including 3+ years in a leadership role
  • In-depth knowledge of ISO 21434 and UNECE R155 standards
  • Expertise in integrating cybersecurity into system architecture and embedded systems
  • Strong background in cybersecurity verification and validation methods
  • Proven ability to lead teams and manage complex projects
  • Preferred: Master’s degree in a related field
  • Preferred: Certification in cybersecurity (e.g., TÜV Certified Cybersecurity Engineer)
  • Preferred: Experience with Systems Engineering for embedded systems (INCOSE CSEP certification is a plus)
  • Preferred: Familiarity with Functional Safety (ISO 26262) for automotive applications

Responsibilities

  • Manage and mentor a team of cybersecurity engineers
  • Define and execute cybersecurity strategies for system-level development projects
  • Oversee planning and resource allocation for cybersecurity engineering activities
  • Guide development of item definitions, cybersecurity goals, concepts, and system-level requirements
  • Lead Threat Analysis and Risk Assessments (TARA) and validation activities in compliance with ISO 21434 (Parts 9 and 11)
  • Ensure adherence to ISO 21434 and UNECE R155 standards across all engineering activities
  • Represent cybersecurity in audits, assessments, and customer-facing reviews
  • Manage interfaces with other departments and stakeholders
  • Present project results and provide technical leadership in decision-making
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to guide team development
