Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields
10+ years of experience in automotive cybersecurity engineering, including 3+ years in a leadership role
In-depth knowledge of ISO 21434 and UNECE R155 standards
Expertise in integrating cybersecurity into system architecture and embedded systems
Strong background in cybersecurity verification and validation methods
Proven ability to lead teams and manage complex projects
Preferred: Master’s degree in a related field
Preferred: Certification in cybersecurity (e.g., TÜV Certified Cybersecurity Engineer)
Preferred: Experience with Systems Engineering for embedded systems (INCOSE CSEP certification is a plus)
Preferred: Familiarity with Functional Safety (ISO 26262) for automotive applications

Responsibilities

Manage and mentor a team of cybersecurity engineers
Define and execute cybersecurity strategies for system-level development projects
Oversee planning and resource allocation for cybersecurity engineering activities
Guide development of item definitions, cybersecurity goals, concepts, and system-level requirements
Lead Threat Analysis and Risk Assessments (TARA) and validation activities in compliance with ISO 21434 (Parts 9 and 11)
Ensure adherence to ISO 21434 and UNECE R155 standards across all engineering activities
Represent cybersecurity in audits, assessments, and customer-facing reviews
Manage interfaces with other departments and stakeholders
Present project results and provide technical leadership in decision-making
Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to guide team development
