Requirements
Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in film studies, cinematography, or a related field, along with proven work experience as a Video Editor. They should demonstrate strong portfolio of edited and animated videos, knowledge of timing, motivation, and continuity, familiarity with special effects, 3D, and compositing, creative storytelling skills, and an understanding of digital trends and editing principles. Familiarity with the crypto or trading industry is preferred, and proficiency in Adobe Premiere and Adobe After Effects is required, alongside experience with digital technology and editing software like Avid Media Composer, Lightworks, and Final Cut.
Responsibilities
The Video Editor and Animator will create high-quality videos and short clips for platforms such as YouTube Shorts, TikTok, and Instagram Reels, ensuring smooth transitions and seamless integration of footage. They will develop content aligned with the director’s vision and project goals, edit film pieces to ensure logical sequencing and smooth running, handle and organize video files, export videos for mobile and web distribution, and implement new editing technologies and best practices. Furthermore, they will contribute to channel growth by developing and executing strategies to attract and retain subscribers on the Token Metrics YouTube channel, consult with stakeholders throughout the editing process, adjust formats and file sizes as needed, and ensure compliance with journalistic standards.
