Responsibilities

The Video Editor and Animator will create high-quality videos and short clips for platforms such as YouTube Shorts, TikTok, and Instagram Reels, ensuring smooth transitions and logical sequencing. They will develop content aligning with the director’s vision and project goals, handle and organize video files, export videos for mobile and web distribution, and implement new editing technologies and best practices. Furthermore, they will understand production team’s needs, review scripts and raw footage, trim and sequence footage, add music, dialogues, graphics, and effects, and produce rough and final cuts. The role also involves consulting with stakeholders, adjusting formats and file sizes, and developing strategies to attract and retain subscribers on the Token Metrics YouTube channel, while ensuring compliance with journalistic standards and exploring different editing directions.
