Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years accounts receivable / payable experience
  • Relevant qualification an advantage
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Full class B drivers licence and flexibility to travel
  • Previous experience in an accounts department
  • Excellent understanding of debt ledgers, payment applications and overdues
  • Experience or understanding of credit control (advantageous)
  • Knowledge of SOX compliance (advantageous)
  • Experience in a credit / accounts receivable environment within the food services sector (advantageous)

Responsibilities

  • Ensure customer accounts are maintained to the highest standard
  • Effective and efficient communication with customers and peers
  • Effectively handle customer queries / escalations
  • Apply funds with accuracy
  • Liaise with cross functional departments across the business
  • Assist colleagues with various business demands
  • Prepare daily/monthly/quarterly reports
  • Represent the company as required
  • Train new employees on the department’s SLAs
  • Updating and maintaining customer portals
  • Assist in updating the debt ledger
  • Monitor ledger accuracy
  • Facilitate the processing of payments, invoices and credits
  • Run various reports as business demands
  • Maintenance for the email management system
  • Updating customer ledgers to ensure operational efficiency
  • Maintaining a high level of performance in conjunction with department KPIs
  • Handling customer queries through phone and email
  • Ensuring all customer records are properly maintained
  • Ensuring relevant transactions are processed on a daily basis
  • Ensuring accurate document processing and policy information
