Requirements
Ability to maintain and implement state-of-the-art computer-based transient model leak detection and computational pipeline monitoring (CPM) systems and pipeline simulation systems for liquid petroleum pipelines
Knowledge of physics, engineering, and computational fluid dynamics principles to perform pipeline profile analyses and assessments
Capability to manage multiple engineering projects with competing priorities and tight deliverable schedules
Experience applying fundamental engineering principles to improve operational safety, solve real-time problems, reduce operations upsets, and increase efficiency
Ability to work closely with multi-discipline teams including Project Managers, Controls Technology Engineers, other CPM Engineers, Controllers, and SCADA Analysts
Availability for 24/7 control room support, including on-call rotation
Skills to develop specifications and recommendations for process control applications
Ability to interact with controllers and explain hydraulics concepts in practical terms
Experience providing support on critical system outages requiring immediate diagnostic response
Responsibilities
Analyze, develop, implement, and maintain CPM, leak detection systems, and pipeline simulation systems to meet business, regulatory, and company standards
Provide real-time support to Operations Control
Maintain and update CPM Systems
Evaluate and implement enhancements to CPM Systems
Provide leak detection applications support, development, and testing for diverse issues and CPM designs
Collaborate with software vendors to maintain leak detection and simulation models, including upgrades and re-certification testing
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to determine business needs for application enhancements and coding
Serve as project manager for enhancement and maintenance projects, supporting internal and external stakeholders
