2+ years of experience in fast-paced environments, combined with a charismatic, street-smart nature (e.g., from consulting or sales roles, prioritizing role match over past experience)
Ability to lead complex enterprise accounts through the sales process, providing clarity and strategic direction to decision-makers
Hands-on mentality, thriving in imperfect and fast-changing environments
Fluency in Spanish (local language) and English, with deep understanding of Spanish culture and local business dynamics
Willingness to start in Berlin for comprehensive onboarding, with full flexibility to relocate to Spain or any European hub thereafter
Responsibilities
Lead Root’s expansion into Spain by designing the GTM strategy and securing key players as the first person on the ground
Lead the development of a market-specific sales strategy to conquer the Spanish market and become the widely accepted industry solution within the next 12 months
Close deals with top key processors by closely working with them, gaining insights into their organizations, fostering strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels (incl. farmers, executives, and government employees), and participating in key industry events and fairs
Align proactively with the team & other European Country Leads on progress, sharing market insights, individual market characteristics, and best practices
Establish the business in Spain as the first person on the ground, mentor new team members, and foster a culture of continuous learning within the company
