Responsibilities

  • Define opportunities and direction for products in Sweden, collaborating with global/regional teams to deliver hyper-localised solutions
  • Work closely with product teams (Product Managers and Engineers) to develop vision and build better products/experiences for Swedish customers
  • Collaborate with global teams (Product, Finance, Treasury, etc.) to keep customers and products at the mission's center
  • Identify optimal ways to grow Wise in Sweden, including managing licences/registrations with central banking and expansion teams
  • Manage day-to-day requirements for Swedish authorisation from Product and Compliance perspectives
  • Lead the Swedish branch and operations into next growth stage, providing de-facto leadership to local teams and functional leads
  • Manage relationships with regulators (e.g., Finansinspektionen), government departments, and ensure good governance
  • Maintain oversight of Swedish business operations, guide strategy, provide leadership/alignment across functions, and participate in committees/Board meetings
  • Represent Wise in Sweden, working with PR and Product Marketing to drive brand awareness and position as key industry player
  • Maintain/improve relationships with industry partners and financial institutions; lead commercial/relationship discussions and create new opportunities
