Requirements
Significant professional experience in a media law firm and/or legal department of a media company
Completion of both state exams (qualification for judicial office, 2nd state exam) with at least one fully satisfactory result (grade "vollbefriedigend")
Expertise in E-Commerce, consumer protection, and civil law, as well as strong commercial understanding
Excellent skills in legal writing and drafting complex contracts
High social competence to operate in a creative, complex, and international environment
Proactive problem-solving skills and independent working style
Strength in prioritizing and adapting to requirements in a dynamic environment
Talent for building relationships and acting effectively in different cultures and work environments
Very good knowledge of German and English, both written and spoken
Willingness to work primarily (4+ days) from the Munich office, with one day home office
Responsibilities
Apply E-Commerce, consumer, competition, and general civil law in various contexts
Handle consumer disputes
Draft and negotiate promotion contracts (e.g., barter deals, influencer contracts) and draft terms for B2C contracts, considering civil and labor law requirements
Manage external personnel matters under labor law requirements, especially service contracts for freelancers and contracts under the Temporary Agency Work Act (Arbeitnehmerüberlassungsgesetz)
Ensure compliance with international Disney guidelines
Promote a "Continuous Improvement" culture in the team: processes, guidelines, and procedures to protect the business while reducing costs
Monitor and advise on relevant legal and industry developments
Coordinate with legal departments in EMEA and the USA
Implement and monitor workflows and processes, and optimize them
Maintain structured folders and overviews in the shared database
Update templates in coordination with the Senior Counsel
Draft commercial contracts and provide legal advice in close coordination with Senior Counsel GSA and local business teams, in areas such as E-Commerce & consumer protection (civil law, competition law), external personnel services (labor law), and marketing transactions
Provide legal advice, assess risks, and offer legally/commercially sound support in day-to-day business
