Responsibilities

Act as Financial Controller for part of the Asda business
Manage the accurate and timely production of financial information for internal/external reporting, including compliance with group accounting policies and procedures
Manage the related financial control environment
Review financial performance on a monthly basis with Commercial Finance customers including clear articulation of variances to plan/forecast
Maintain an awareness of risk management issues across the Asda business
Lead cross functional projects to enhance the control environment
Use large volumes of data to continually refine and improve understanding of the numbers and evolve financial control
Work with business partners and Commercial Finance teams on new business initiatives to ensure financial reporting impact is understood and financial controls are robust
Review of month-end balance sheet reconciliations
Deliver process improvement within the team, looking for opportunities to make processes more efficient
