Requirements

  • Hands-on experience managing accounting close processes with ability to drive efficiencies for a 5-day close
  • Expertise in reviewing and approving journal entries and account reconciliations, with strong SOX compliance knowledge
  • Ability to implement balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow analytics
  • Experience identifying and reviewing accounting implications of non-standard contracts and agreements
  • Proficiency in leading system implementations/upgrades (e.g., NetSuite) to build scalable processes
  • Capability to prepare/review schedules for external financial statements, footnotes, and MD&A (e.g., 10-Q, 10-K, S-1)
  • Experience preparing and presenting materials at board and audit committee meetings, managing audit committee charter
  • Knowledge of developing procure-to-pay processes, financial approval matrices, and workflows
  • Familiarity with Contract Lifecycle Management Systems
  • Oversight experience in T&E policies, corporate credit card programs, and expense management software
  • Treasury process management and coordination with external tax service providers
  • Collaboration skills for internal controls, SEC Reporting, and SOX compliance

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate day-to-day activities of the accounting department
  • Manage accounting close process, driving continuous efficiencies for a 5-day close
  • Review and approve journal entries and account reconciliations; enhance SOX-compliant documentation
  • Implement balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow analytics for internal reporting
  • Identify and review accounting implications of non-standard contracts; document and implement technical accounting
  • Lead implementation/upgrade of systems (e.g., NetSuite) for scalable accounting close and reporting
  • Prepare/review schedules for external financial statements, footnotes, and MD&A
  • Prepare and present materials at board and audit committee meetings; manage audit committee charter
  • Develop and implement procure-to-pay processes; update financial approval matrix and workflows
  • Support implementation of a Contract Lifecycle Management System
  • Oversee compliance with T&E Policy and corporate credit card program; evaluate and implement expense management solutions
  • Oversee treasury processes and external tax service providers
  • Collaborate with Director, SEC Reporting/SOX Compliance on designing and operating effective financial controls
