Requirements

1 year of customer service/account management experience or patient registration/onboarding experience
Basic level skill and competency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Ability to comprehend medical information and transcribe into an electronic patient chart
Able to manage and prioritize work so that all job duties and responsibilities are completed in a timely manner

Responsibilities

Coordinates the onboarding of new patients by communicating with case managers, nursing, and caregivers to gather appropriate information
Communicates with patients/caregivers and internal dispatch team to schedule deliveries in a timely and optimal manner
Gathers necessary medical documentation from providers, nurses, and patients to aid accurate dispensing of medications
Accurately inputs pertinent clinical and demographic information into the computer system to build an electronic medical record
Proactively grows and maintains relationships with referral sources and contracted providers as a key point of contact
Adheres to appropriate safety and quality assurance practices
Complies with state and federal laws, HIPAA, accreditation, legal, regulatory, and safety requirements
Assists with product purchasing, inventory, and equipment management as needed
Orders correct drug products from wholesale company if requested, knowledgeable of vendors for supplies, medications, and clean room needs
Verifies accuracy of product orders received, checks prices against contract and schedule of charges, complies with formulary
Speaks knowledgeably of the scope of services available through One Infusion Pharmacy, understands basic drug terminology and therapies/services
Maintains confidentiality of patient and proprietary information, observes legal and ethical guidelines
Participates in assessing, managing, and reporting medication-related incidents and equipment errors/failures, completes and forwards incident forms
Assists with training and supervision of new referral coordinators
Participates in on-call responsibilities if required
May work on advanced projects and committees, participate in performance improvement, complete and monitor quality control, assist purchasing coordinator
Performs other duties as assigned by direct supervisor, Sr. Pharmacy Director, and/or Clinical Pharmacists
