Requirements

Minimum of 6 months of experience in industrial, manufacturing, construction, or landscaping environment
One year of continuous employment with the most recent employer
Valid driver's license
Ability to obtain a PIT (Powered Industrial Truck) license
Ability to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; taste or smell
Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
Specific vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
Willingness and ability to perform physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation
Tolerance for exposure to wet/humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, high/precarious places, outside weather, risk of electrical shock, vibration, toxic/caustic chemicals, extreme heat, and loud noise levels

Responsibilities

Hydrolyzing raw meat and blood
Sizing
Running machinery that processes meat into meat meal
Transferring hydrolyzed meal to storage
Keeping work area clean and free of clutter (housekeeping)
Using appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Using the correct tool for each job assignment
Reporting injuries of oneself or coworkers to management
Reporting job hazards immediately (correct when possible) and documenting
Inspecting all tools and materials for defects and safety issues
Following all safety rules and guidelines
Other duties as assigned
