Requirements

  • Experience with industrial control systems and automation protocols
  • Strong understanding of fail-safe design principles
  • Proficient in technical communication, including with non-technical audiences
  • Hands-on experience with tools such as oscilloscopes, DMMs, and function generators
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related field from an ABET-accredited program

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and support control systems from concept through commissioning
  • Write and review Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) software (Allen-Bradley, Siemens) and develop test plans
  • Design hardware systems including processors, I/O, HMI, and wiring
  • Perform system-level analysis and hazard assessments (e.g., FMEA, fault tree)
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate high-level requirements into technical solutions
  • Support field testing and troubleshooting of ride systems
  • Maintain documentation and adhere to safety and change control processes
  • Stay current with industry trends and technologies
