Requirements

  • 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 5 years in startups or high-growth SaaS companies
  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, SaaS revenue recognition (ASC 606), and multi-entity consolidations
  • Demonstrated success managing international accounting teams and coordinating with outsourced firms
  • Hands-on leader who enjoys both execution and building scalable systems and processes
  • Experience with ERP systems (QuickBooks and transitioning to scalable platforms)

Responsibilities

  • Lead accounting operations across U.S., Canada, Singapore, and China entities
  • Manage the U.S. accounting close process and global consolidations
  • Supervise a 3-person team in Singapore and the Philippines, and coordinate work across outsourced accounting partners
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial statements prepared in accordance with U.S. GAAP
  • Lead the implementation of a next-generation ERP system (transitioning from QuickBooks to a scalable, potentially AI-enabled platform) over the next 12–18 months
  • Own SaaS revenue recognition and ensure compliance with ASC 606
  • Partner with Sales, Legal, and FP&A to validate contract structures, renewals, and billing for accurate revenue reporting
  • Build scalable processes and documentation for order-to-cash workflows
  • Oversee and grow the Order Management team as the company expands
  • Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and chart of accounts
  • Develop and enforce accounting policies and internal controls across all entities
  • Partner with FP&A to provide accurate reporting and variance analysis
  • Prepare audit-ready financial statements and documentation to support future external audits
  • Identify and implement process improvements to streamline close cycles and improve accuracy
  • Collaborate with Legal, People Ops, and Operations on payroll, tax, and entity management processes
  • Support compliance with local statutory requirements in coordination with external advisors
  • Partner cross-functionally to enhance systems integration between finance, HR, and sales systems
