Class A Commercial Driver’s license with air brakes endorsement
Two years of prior experience driving commercial trucks (preferred)
Demonstrated mechanical aptitude to perform minor repairs to containers
Good customer service skills
Good time management skills
Good follow through ability
Ability to adhere to Company policies and rules, including safety standards

Responsibilities

Perform complete pre- and post-operation inspection of the vehicle in accordance with Company policy and report any safety issues
Safely operate heavy truck along designated route to the disposal site, following route sheet, map, and dispatcher/supervisor assignments
Operate manual and/or automatic controls to lift and load refuse, operate compactor, and dispose of collected material at the designated facility
Courteously interact with customers, dispatchers, and others to ensure timely and professional service
Perform minor repairs to containers on site or in the container yard
Identify unsatisfactory waste containers, tag them in accordance with procedures, and continuously monitor waste for unacceptable materials
Clean area around accidental waste spills, adhering to safety standards
Continuously monitor vehicle condition, clean waste from container and edges on each disposal trip, to minimize downtime
Complete required route/productivity sheets, VCRs, and other reports
Maintain adherence to required productivity standards
Follow all required safety policies and procedures
Actively participate in the Company’s ReSOP program
Perform other job-related duties as assigned
