Requirements

  • Proficiency in programming skills and use of economic modeling software/platforms
  • Strong understanding of Health Technology Assessment (HTA) requirements, local payer needs, and compliance standards
  • Knowledge of Health Outcomes research, including Real-World Evidence (RWE) and Patient Reported Outcomes (PRO) studies
  • Overarching view of compounds, therapeutic areas, external environment, and competitors
  • Ability to customize global models to local settings, adjusting parameters, costs, and clinical inputs
  • Skills in interpreting, communicating, and presenting modeling results, including technical reports, publications, and conference presentations
  • Experience leading early economic models for asset valuation, clinical trial design, and market access strategy
  • Capability to gather feedback, update models, and ensure quality standards
  • Adaptability in transitioning between model types and document preparation
  • Strong collaboration, influencing, negotiation, and risk mitigation skills with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
  • Continuous communication and customer focus with internal stakeholders

Responsibilities

  • Develop and adapt cost-effectiveness models (CEA/CUA), budget impact models (BIM), and other economic evaluations
  • Customize global economic models to local HTA/payer requirements, adjusting parameters, costs, and clinical inputs
  • Ensure models comply with internal quality standards and external HTA requirements
  • Lead development of early economic models for asset valuation, clinical trial design, and market access strategy
  • Interpret and communicate modeling results to stakeholders
  • Gather and integrate reviewer feedback to update models
  • Prepare detailed technical reports on objectives, analyses, results, findings, and conclusions
  • Participate in Global Economic Model Development, providing strategic solutions for business alignment
  • Contribute to publications and conference presentations based on modeling work
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess and mitigate model development risks
  • Influence/negotiate timelines and content with team members and stakeholders
  • Maintain and enhance economic modeling knowledge, programming skills, and Health Outcomes research awareness
  • Provide formal coaching, share technical expertise, and support knowledge sharing/best practices
  • Contribute to process improvements, automations, and team activities (rewards, teambuilding, diversity)
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand requirements, ensure models meet needs, and maintain open communication
