Requirements

Candidates must have experience in administration of Amazon Web Services (AWS), Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environments, and experience conducting Incident Response investigations in the cloud. A college degree or equivalent and 5+ years of related work experience are required, along with 2+ years of experience as a Security Architect and/or Engineer. Additionally, 2+ years of experience with Cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is mandatory, as is experience architecting solutions in these platforms. Proficiency in one or more scripting or compiled languages such as Python, Ruby, C#, PowerShell, or Golang is required. Experience with systems automation platforms and technologies is preferred, and working knowledge of common cloud-native/cloud-friendly authentication mechanisms like OAuth and OpenID is a plus.

Responsibilities

The Cloud Security Consultant will participate in and lead consulting engagements including Incident Response and Cloud Security Assessments. They will assist in the investigation and remediation of security incidents, conduct security assessments to identify risks and provide remediation guidance, and analyze, report on, and provide feedback on cloud security architectures. The consultant will also collaborate with the cloud team to grow the Cloud Security practice, raise awareness of cloud security, and provide requirements for critical cloud projects. Additionally, they will conduct research on cloud security tools and best practices, and develop and mentor junior team members. Providing clear communication with stakeholders and building strong working relationships are also key responsibilities.
