Requirements

Current or past credentials as a Designated Mechanic Inspector Records (DMIR), Designated Airworthiness Representative (DAR), or M-Unit member
10+ years of experience in quality inspections and/or quality engineering
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical discipline
Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineering, quality, regulatory representatives, and certification authorities
Experience with conformity inspections throughout the prototyping, manufacturing, and post-production lifecycles. (Preferred)
Experience with rotorcraft. (Preferred)
Experience as an FAA delegate. (Preferred)
Onsite in El Segundo, CA, with some travel expected

Responsibilities

Conduct conformity inspections of parts, assemblies, test setups, test articles, and installations according to FAA regulations
Guide engineering, certification, and supply chain on practical standards and methods to ensure conforming products and processes
Identify corrective actions to address unsatisfactory results (unsats) and escapes
Help develop and implement processes and procedures necessary to execute certification programs, including support for Operational Data Analysis (ODA) development
Coordinate inspection activities with engineering, certification, supply chain, DERs, and DARs to ensure alignment with production and testing schedules
