Role Overview
We are looking for a Configuration & Document Management Analyst to join our team. The goal of a Configuration & Document Management Analyst at Wisk is to ensure robust configuration and document control practices are applied across engineering and cross-functional teams. This position is Remote in the US and will require travel as needed.
Responsibilities
In this role you will:
- Maintain product data integrity, ensure regulatory compliance, and full traceability throughout the product lifecycle.
- Reporting to the Manager of Configuration Management and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Helpdesk, the analyst will work closely with the Configuration Management (CM) Process Team and PLM Tools Team to support and improve our CM/Document Management infrastructure.
- This role also serves as a subject matter expert, supports process optimization, and mentors junior team members.
What you will do:
- Manage end-to-end configuration and change control processes, including the review and coordination of change notices (engineering, manufacturing, document, software) and change requests.
- Conduct configuration audits, version control, and release activities to ensure traceability and compliance.
- Review engineering data packages (models, drawings, bill of materials) for accuracy and conformance with internal standards and requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Engineering, Quality, Certification) to uphold configuration management standards and support product development and release efforts.
- Administer and lead Program Change Control Boards, including scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, facilitating discussions, documenting decisions, and ensuring timely follow-up on action items and approvals.
- Maintain PLM tools (e.g., Teamcenter) and ensure proper user access, workflows, and data management protocols.
- Lead or contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that streamline configuration and document management processes and optimize PLM tool functionality based on user feedback and common support issues.
- Support validation and testing of new PLM functionality, updates, or configurations to ensure smooth deployment and minimal impact on users.
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of CM/DM policies, procedures, guidelines, and training materials.
- Manage and control all engineering and company-level documents, including policies, processes, memos, work instructions, reports, etc.
- Collaborate with document owners on the review, approval, and release of documents according to established processes, ensuring that approvals are tracked and documented.
Requirements
- 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6 years and a Master’s degree.
- In-depth knowledge of PLM systems (Teamcenter preferred).
- Familiarity with configuration management standards (e.g., EIA-649, ISO 10007, MIL-STD-973).
- Experience implementing configuration management processes in a development/R&D environment and a production environment.
- Experience working on a certified aircraft development program.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and models and technical documentation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications in Configuration Management (CMPIC, CMII, or equivalent).
- Working knowledge of Teamcenter.
- Experience with DO-178B/C, and/or DO-254 and hardware development lifecycle and configuration management processes.
- Experience with SharePoint, JIRA, Power Automate, or Confluence.
