Requirements

Strong computer skills, with a working knowledge of lodging software, Microsoft Word and Excel
Minimum 2 years leadership experience
Previous 2 years Porter experience and working knowledge of Conference/Banquet operations
Ability to work independently, as well as with a team
Valid Driver’s license an asset

Responsibilities

Provide leadership to the Porter Team and communicate clear standards of service and process to provide knowledge, training, and tools to exceed guest expectations
Manage difficult or emotional customer situations; respond promptly to customer needs; solicit customer feedback to improve service; respond to requests for service and assistance
Work with Banquet Leadership to challenge and establish performance expectations and communicate them to reports
Hold porter team accountable to service expectations
Ensure conference service spaces are held in acceptable condition, including staying on top of needed repairs and cleanliness of all interior service areas and exterior parts of the building
Communicate with CEMs and clients; seek opportunities to deliver exceptional service to clients
Supervise and participate in the set-up and tear-down of meeting rooms, stocking of linen, and inventory management
Weekly, create bar requisitions from BEO information; daily, ensure bar requisitions are filled and delivered to Banquet bars
Participate in Beverage Control measures by performing periodic audits and supervising transfer processes
