Requirements

Currently studying towards a degree in an Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Computing or Applied Science discipline
Must have the right to work in the UK (unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visa)
Must be a British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship
Capable of achieving required medical and national security clearance, including as a minimum HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS)

Responsibilities

Apply a bespoke set of modelling tools to evaluate and investigate the lethal performance of developing and future missile systems against a range of targets
Use in-house tools, principally fast running evaluation models written in MATLAB, with inputs from other tools such as CAD design software
Apply understanding of fuzing techniques, warhead technologies, lethal effects and lethality assessment modelling methods to various types of missile systems
Work on your own or in a small team, with limited supervision, on short tasks (typically a few weeks to a few months in duration)
Collaborate on some projects with other MBDA departments around Europe

The salary is £20,000 pro rata for the 10 or 12 week summer placement.
