Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Sociology, Education, Criminal Justice, Family Studies, Counseling, Recreational Therapy, Human Services, Human Development & Family Studies, Child Development, Gerontology, Behavioral Science, or Rehabilitation Counseling
OR Associate of Applied Science in Behavioral Health Support degree from an approved institution
OR At least four years of work experience in a related human services field (e.g., case management, residential support, developmentally disabled support, vocational rehabilitation), or a combination of education and experience equaling four years
OR Qualified Addictions Professional (QAP) certification (CADC, CRADC, CRAADC, CCJP, RADC-P, RADC, CCDP, CCDP-D)
Must be at least 21 years old
Reliable vehicle and acceptable recent driving record

Responsibilities

Provide support and activities to clients through an organized treatment plan designed to ease their transition into community living
Utilize a supportive, educational approach to promote improved functioning and encourage recovery and resilience
Coordinate comprehensive follow-ups for clients, including outreach and engagement as needed
Employ advanced knowledge of psychological concepts, evidence-based interventions, and coordinate mental health services with community partners
Use specialized knowledge of behavioral science principles, such as motivational interviewing, reinforcement, operant conditioning, and cognitive processing
Spend time in the community, visiting clients in their homes, clinics, and other locations
