Requirements

  • 2-5 years of experience with community outreach, public relations, community health, and/or event planning
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Must reside in Oklahoma
  • Ability to work from Monday-Friday between 8am-5pm CST, as well as to be regularly flexible beyond core hours, specifically on evenings and weekends
  • Ability to travel 50% of the time within Oklahoma, likely within the central region
  • High school diploma or GED

Responsibilities

  • Develops, facilitates, and implements outreach activities, special events, programs, and presentations that support member education and health plan awareness within the Medicaid population and the community
  • Develops and maintains relationships with community organizations
  • Maintains marketing guideline compliance with the appropriate state’s laws and regulations
  • Manages on-site event staffing, and handles any problems or emergencies that may arise, serving as the primary contact for sponsors and event providers
  • Coordinates event logistics including reserving space, catering, communications, distributing materials, facilities support, and setup/breakdown for the event
  • Creates and maintains a calendar based around community events, in order to assist the department with community and member awareness
  • Builds and maintains relationships with community and nonprofit contacts
  • Prepares formal presentations to share health plan resources and benefits with community and members
  • Leads engagement events and activities
  • Engages with organizations and coalitions to advocate on behalf of the health plan
  • Supports enrollment initiatives aimed at increasing market share
  • Analyzes Medicaid population data to identify high-opportunity counties and communities for targeted outreach
