Requirements

2-5 years of experience with community outreach, public relations, community health, and/or event planning
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Must reside in Oklahoma
Ability to work from Monday-Friday between 8am-5pm CST, as well as to be regularly flexible beyond core hours, specifically on evenings and weekends
Ability to travel 50% of the time within Oklahoma, likely within the central region
High school diploma or GED

Responsibilities

Develops, facilitates, and implements outreach activities, special events, programs, and presentations that support member education and health plan awareness within the Medicaid population and the community
Develops and maintains relationships with community organizations
Maintains marketing guideline compliance with the appropriate state’s laws and regulations
Manages on-site event staffing, and handles any problems or emergencies that may arise, serving as the primary contact for sponsors and event providers
Coordinates event logistics including reserving space, catering, communications, distributing materials, facilities support, and setup/breakdown for the event
Creates and maintains a calendar based around community events, in order to assist the department with community and member awareness
Builds and maintains relationships with community and nonprofit contacts
Prepares formal presentations to share health plan resources and benefits with community and members
Leads engagement events and activities
Engages with organizations and coalitions to advocate on behalf of the health plan
Supports enrollment initiatives aimed at increasing market share
Analyzes Medicaid population data to identify high-opportunity counties and communities for targeted outreach
