Requirements

  • College or university degree in communications, journalism, marketing, or a related field or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of copywriting and editing; ability to write, review, and edit texts and documents to promote marketing
  • Knowledge of planning and organizing; ability to plan and organize time and resources systematically
  • Knowledge of internal communications techniques and media; ability to produce and distribute employee-targeted materials
  • Knowledge of effectiveness measurement techniques; ability to measure quality and quantity of work for improvement
  • Knowledge of establishing and maintaining trust; ability to develop trusting relationships and provide valued perspectives
  • Knowledge of interpersonal relationships; ability to work constructively and collaboratively with individuals and groups
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 Suite
  • Extensive experience with traditional communication methods, including writing, copy-editing, content creation, and management
  • Exposure to digital marketing, graphic design, video-editing, podcasting, and/or other unique communication methods

Responsibilities

  • Create content for divisional employees and enterprise communication channels, ensuring consistent messaging and branding
  • Assist with planning and implementation of Caterpillar IT employee and facility-specific communications
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and advise on the suitability of communication approaches
  • Develop and distribute communications materials, such as written communications and presentation materials, to deliver key messages
  • Track and analyze metrics to measure the effectiveness of internal communications
