Requirements

Candidates must be based in the DC/Baltimore area, possess a minimum of 10+ years of experience in mechanical systems including design, fieldwork, and building automation, and hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or a related field). Strong knowledge of building automation systems (BAS), SCADA, and controls is required, along with the ability to travel across the continental U.S. and be a U.S. citizen for government project eligibility.

Responsibilities

As a Commissioning Agent - Mechanical, the individual will conduct and lead commissioning meetings, develop and execute Pre-Functional Checklists and Functional Performance Tests, perform site observations, witness system startups, and document findings in field reports. They will also coordinate and review equipment startup and testing reports, track and facilitate the resolution of commissioning issues, collaborate with Operations & Maintenance teams, and maintain detailed records of commissioning processes ensuring compliance while working in a hybrid work environment.
