Requirements

Candidates should possess a minimum of 5 years of capital markets experience with a brokerage, investment bank, or principal, along with a proven track record of originating, underwriting, and structuring relevant commercial real estate debt and equity. Superior written and verbal communication skills are required, as is the ability to successfully transfer key relationships to the Company. A collaborative personal/professional style and the ability to effectively represent customers and business partners are also essential.

Responsibilities

The Commercial Real Estate Originator will be responsible for originating, structuring, and closing commercial real estate financing transactions, utilizing credit skills to identify strengths and weaknesses, and creating structural features to mitigate risks. They will partner with IPA and investment sales agents to pitch business and secure staple financing opportunities, prescreening and qualifying transactions, reviewing offering memorandums, structuring transactions, and preparing underwriting presentations. The role also involves working closely with capital sources to secure favorable transactions, developing and maintaining relationships with developers, owners, and third-party origination sources, expanding relationships with market leaders, and traveling as appropriate.
