Requirements

  • 5 years of capital markets experience with a brokerage, investment bank, or principal
  • Demonstrated ability to originate, underwrite, and structure relevant commercial real estate debt and equity transactions
  • Ability to successfully transfer key relationships to Marcus & Millichap

Responsibilities

  • Originate, structure, and close commercial real estate financing transactions, including permanent loans, bridge loans, and construction loans
  • Partner with IPA and Marcus & Millichap investment sales agents to pitch business and secure financing opportunities
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with capital sources (commercial banks, CMBS lenders, insurance companies, private equity, credit unions)
  • Prescreen and qualify transactions prior to underwriting and marketing
  • Review offering memoranda and prepare underwriting presentations
  • Work closely with capital sources to secure the most favorable transactions for clients
  • Expand relationships with key market leaders, associations, and professional organizations to generate referrals
  • Build relationships with developers, investors, and capital providers
