Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Apparel, Textiles or a related field (will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training)
  • Minimum 2 years in color, textile, or product development experience (or 2 additional years’ experience in lieu of a degree)
  • Ability to pass the Munsell Hue color test to determine visual color acuity
  • Knowledge of textiles and dye methods
  • Understanding of digital color measurement to review and approve lab dips
  • Knowledge of apparel and material construction, including garment construction
  • Strong written and oral communication skills including meeting facilitation and presentations
  • Experience communicating and collaborating with global partners
  • Strong organization and multi-tasking skills
  • Strong information seeking-skills and a drive to make things happen
  • Ability to work independently and cooperatively in a diverse group
  • Self-starter attitude and the ability to be a team player within a fast-paced team

Responsibilities

  • Support partners in seasonal color developments including key collaborations with Color Design, Design, Product Managers, Technical Development, Global Product Creation Centers, and Product Risk Engineering
  • Analyze color developments to ensure that the best color execution possible is approved on-time
  • Use color knowledge and collaboration skills to execute the seasonal color direction
  • Responsible for on-time approvals for buy ready commercialization
  • Collaborate with Textile Development, Color Design, and Product Risk Engineering to proactively analyze potential risks and create a mitigation plan
  • Facilitate and track lab dips for seasonal initiatives while identifying and addressing key issues and challenges in color development
  • Build strong relationships and close working relationships with cross-functional partners
