Responsibilities

The Coding Specialist will accurately assign CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes for behavioral health services using NextGen EHR/PM. They will conduct coding quality reviews and assist with audit preparation and follow-up using Healthicity software. Responsibilities include collaborating with teams to resolve coding discrepancies, supporting provider education by identifying documentation deficiencies, maintaining knowledge of behavioral health coding practices and payer guidelines, responding to coding inquiries, and participating in department meetings and training sessions.
