Willing to sign agreement to not own and avoid any avian species (chickens, ducks, birds, etc.)
Willing to sign and abide by Company Biosecurity and Company Animal Welfare Guidelines
Comply with biosecurity protocols: showering, changing clothing and footwear before entering facility; no jewelry except medical ID; body piercings covered by clothing
Able to perform physical demands: stand majority of shift on concrete floor; walk; sit; use hands to finger/handle/feel; reach with hands/arms; balance; stoop; bend over; talk/hear; push/pull chick boxes up to 125 lbs; lift chick boxes up to 30 lbs; use safe lifting techniques
Specific vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus
Proficiency with Toe Trimming machine and robot
Willing to wear required PPE: safety glasses, safety goggles, face shield, chemical gloves, waterproof apron, rubber boots (when handling chemicals); ear plugs/earmuffs as needed
Tolerance for environment with chemicals like formaldehyde and disinfectants

Responsibilities

Process chickens including grading, vaccination, beak treatment (operate robot), dub males, despur males, and perform toe trim (70%)
Operate box washer (5%)
Operate macerator (10%)
Other duties: operate high pressure and regular water hose; maintain foot pans and hand sanitizers; pack and unpack eggs; wash boxes; pad/make boxes; operate Coccivac machine; maintain clean and organized work area (10%)
