Requirements

  • CMM experience in aerospace, defense, or high-precision manufacturing
  • Expert-level Verisurf programming and operation
  • Strong background in machining processes and inspection of tight-tolerance components
  • Fluent in GD&T, blueprint reading, and CAD model interpretation
  • Familiar with hand inspection tools — micrometers, indicators, height gages, etc
  • Understands ISO 9001 / AS9100 environments
  • Detail-driven, self-directed, and thrives on getting it right
  • Demonstrates a strong work ethic and ambition, complemented by effective collaboration skills in a team setting

Responsibilities

  • Program and operate CMMs using Verisurf for first-article, in-process, and final inspections
  • Create and debug inspection routines from 3D CAD models and 2D engineering prints
  • Interpret and apply GD&T per ASME Y14.5 to real-world inspection problems
  • Inspect high-precision aerospace parts and assemblies, often with tight tolerances and complex geometry
  • Work shoulder-to-shoulder with machinists, manufacturing engineers, and quality engineers to resolve nonconformances and improve part quality
  • Document inspection results and support customer-facing quality records
  • Help maintain and calibrate CMMs and other metrology tools to ensure readiness and accuracy
  • Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement efforts
