Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or other highly technical, scientific discipline
Solid experience in relevant field of operations
Ability to program with one or more high level languages, such as Python
Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Ansible or Terraform
Experience with cloud architecture environments, preferably AWS
Proficiency with cloud deployment frameworks such as Kubernetes
Experience with Unix based systems and environments
Experience & knowledge of working with secure systems handling PII/PHI data (desirable)
Successful DBS check and Security Clearance
Proficiency in English
Must be commutable to London Paddington office (role not eligible for UK visa sponsorship)
Team-based mentality focusing on group’s collective goals and objectives
Strong problem-solving skills with ability to learn and investigate independently
Proactive approach to identifying problems, areas for improvement, and performance bottlenecks
Experience providing product updates, identifying production issues, implementing integrations through CI/CD pipelines, and maintaining change control
Experience working in an agile team with solid background in software engineering
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, distributed, multi-cultural, and dynamic environment

Responsibilities

Utilise infrastructure-as-code to automate the provisioning and management of cloud resources
Monitor and troubleshoot cloud services to identify and resolve operational issues in a timely manner as part of a 24/7 On-Call Rota
Build software and systems to manage platform infrastructure and applications
Improve reliability, quality, and time-to-market of suite of software solutions
Measure and optimize system performance, pushing capabilities forward and anticipating customer needs
Provide primary operational support and engineering for multiple large, distributed software applications
Gather and analyze metrics from operating systems and applications to assist in performance tuning and fault finding
Partner with QA & Test to improve services through rigorous testing and release procedures
Create sustainable systems and services through automation and uplifts
Develop and maintain documentation for customer solutions and operational procedures
