Requirements

7 years of experience in a data infrastructure role or equivalent role
5 years in a customer-facing role
Strong Kubernetes experience (GKE/EKS/AKS or OpenShift preferred)
Proficiency in Python/Go
Good understanding of network complexities and architectures
Versatile Terminal and CLI user (hands-on role, frequently without access to a GUI)
Experience setting up and troubleshooting distributed systems
Experience with complex SaaS infrastructure operating at scale
Experience with at least one major cloud provider API/tooling
Cloud-native data architecture experience
Strong customer-facing skills
Strong oral and written communication skills (able to explain complex technical issues to non-technical folks succinctly)
Comfort and flexibility in working across East Coast and EMEA time zones
Willingness to travel up to 30% for business and customer engagements

Responsibilities

Implement Astronomer’s software and services in the core of some of the world’s largest businesses and organizations
Guide our largest and most complex customers in their Apache Airflow journeys
Act as the core interface between the Customer, Sales, and Product to ensure that the broader solution around the platform is solving pain points and bringing value to customers
Deliver world-class technical solutions to customer and prospect business problems (pre-sales oriented role)
