Candidates should possess at least 4 years of professional experience with Google Cloud or AWS services, including databases, messaging frameworks, APIs, and functions, along with 5 years of software development experience utilizing Python, Node.js, or Java. They must have experience with Apache Airflow for data pipeline orchestration and a strong understanding of microservices architecture, API design, and distributed systems principles, including the CAP theorem. Furthermore, candidates should be proficient in troubleshooting and reductionist techniques in software development, and possess knowledge of MySQL, PostgreSQL, Bitbucket, GitHub, IAM, JWT authorization, SSO/OAuth, 12-factor app methodology, and experience with Kafka, Elasticsearch, and Redis on Kubernetes or VM clusters.
The Cloud Software Engineer will design and implement cloud-native applications in a serverless environment such as Google Cloud Run or Kubernetes, develop and maintain microservices architecture, ensure adherence to distributed systems principles, develop modern data pipelines using Apache Airflow, apply scaling principles to ensure system robustness, collaborate with teams to architect, develop, and troubleshoot scalable and reliable solutions on GCP, and employ reductionist techniques for effective problem-solving and system optimization.
