Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in platform/cloud engineering
  • Expert-level experience with AWS enterprise deployments
  • Deep knowledge of AWS services and best practices, including Control Tower and IAM
  • Deployment and Delivery expertise, including Kubernetes, Terraform, and Helm
  • Strong background in infrastructure automation
  • Expert knowledge of network architecture and security
  • Knowledge of on-premises and hybrid cloud network design and architecture
  • Technical proficiencies: Rate limiting implementations, Traffic control systems, Programming & Scripting, Authentication & Security (OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, Keycloak), Cloud & Infrastructure (Kubernetes, Docker, AWS services), DevOps & Tools (Git, Concourse CI, Terraform), Development Practices (Test-driven development, Continuous integration/deployment, Code review processes, Performance optimization, Technical writing, GitOps workflows)
  • Bachelor's/Master's in Computer Science or related field
  • Minimum of three years experience in a Platforms Engineer or Site Reliability Engineering role utilizing the AWS platform
  • AWS certifications preferred
  • Strong system design skills

Responsibilities

  • Design and Implementation of Identity and Access Management environments (Platform Architecture 40%)
  • Design and implement cloud accounts for multiple customers primarily in AWS
  • Ensure multi-tenant isolation and resource management
  • Identify and design system security requirements
  • Develop standard operating procedures and protocols
  • Develop technical solutions and new security tools to help mitigate security vulnerabilities and automate repeatable tasks
  • Monitor and implement security events and alerts of computer systems, infrastructure, and applications
  • Create and maintain comprehensive architectural diagrams
  • Lead security incidents
  • Architect high-availability solutions ensuring business continuity and disaster recovery
  • Design and implement security frameworks aligned with compliance requirements
  • Optimize platform performance and resource utilization across environments
  • Define integration patterns for microservices architectures
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform for AWS resources (Infrastructure Automation 40%)
  • Implement GitOps workflows
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment
  • Automate routine operational tasks using shell scripting
  • Manage backup and recovery procedures across the platform
  • Design and implement monitoring solutions using Prometheus and DataDog (Operations & Observability 20%)
  • Create and maintain alerting systems and dashboards
  • Lead troubleshooting of complex platform issues
  • Participate in on-call rotation
  • Maintain operational documentation and runbooks
