Candidates should possess 5+ years of software development experience building and operating scalable, fault-tolerant, distributed systems, with expertise in Go, C/C++, or Java. They require experience with cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, including infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation, and experience developing cloud infrastructure services, preferably with Kubernetes and cloud native edge or service mesh services like envoy and Istio. Strong understanding of network topologies, protocols, and security principles is also necessary, along with knowledge of cloud security best practices, including encryption, access controls, and compliance standards like SOC2 and GDPR.
The Cloud Infrastructure Software Engineer will be responsible for architecting and building a robust, scalable, and highly available distributed infrastructure, building a cutting-edge cloud-native platform, and automating cloud resource management. They will work closely with the ClickHouse core database development and security teams to produce the SAS offering, focusing on routing and traffic components to improve service reliability and scalability. Additionally, they will systematically improve availability by applying best practices, design and build security components and tooling, and improve performance and cost efficiency of the infrastructure, while thriving in a fast-paced environment and taking ownership of technical projects.
