Candidates should have 3-5 years of experience as a Cloud Engineer in an enterprise environment, with strong technical knowledge of IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS. Practical experience operating and managing cloud platforms is essential, and professional certifications in cloud computing are beneficial. A minimum of two years of scripting/automation experience using tools like Terraform, Jenkins, Perl, Python, or PowerShell for infrastructure as code development in GCP, Azure, or AWS is required. A good understanding of networking, firewalls, load balancers, databases, Linux OS, Windows Servers OS, Active Directory and Entra ID, Certificates, and DNS is necessary. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and self-learning abilities are crucial, along with the capacity to work independently, under pressure, and meet project deliverables.
The Cloud Engineer will design and implement cloud solutions in a multi-cloud environment (GCP, Azure, AWS), working closely with business units to meet or exceed requirements. They will recommend and promote IT standards to minimize complexity, adhere to compliance, and maximize security. Specific duties include planning, deploying, operating, and supporting cloud-based infrastructure, automating resource provisioning and operational tasks using scripting languages, and maintaining the security and availability of applications. Responsibilities also encompass providing assistance to cloud servers, improving operations through monitoring and automation, creating documentation, communicating technical information, implementing new technologies with solution architects, ensuring architectural consistency, and participating in incident management, operational support escalations, and compliance activities.
