Candidates should have at least 2 years of programming experience and 2+ years of experience with public cloud technology. Significant experience with cloud infrastructure, particularly AWS, including automation, configuration management, and CI/CD is required. Proficiency in Python and bash programming, strong technical curiosity, excellent planning skills, an ownership mentality, a customer-focused outlook, and a Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field are also necessary. Experience with systems engineering focused on Linux is a plus.
The Cloud Engineer will manage and improve the current-generation cloud platform using scripting and automation tools. They will design and architect the next-generation public cloud platform, partnering with engineering teams to understand their requirements and facilitate application onboarding. The role involves using DevOps and infrastructure as code methodologies, and working with on-prem systems engineers to bridge on-prem Linux, storage, and network infrastructure with the cloud. Coordinating changes to core public cloud infrastructure is also a key responsibility.
