Cloud DevOps Engineer

Position Overview

As part of this team, you will be working in a fast-paced, high-impact environment. You will collaborate closely with Developers, Infrastructure Engineers, and Product teams to build and maintain resilient systems. The team focuses on automation, continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD), observability, and cloud-native operations to support Zoom’s gateway services. This team is responsible for deploying and managing services across multi-cloud and on-premises environments.

About the Team

Engineering Operations is the driving force behind the seamless functionality and continuous availability that define the platform's unparalleled user experience. You will be responsible for deploying the gateway services, monitoring infrastructure for these services, developing new automation to reduce manual effort, and being the on-call owner for assigned services. The team handles multiple services such as Zoom AIC, Whiteboard, Notes, and Zoom Live Caption/Translation.

What We’re Looking For

This cloud DevOps role focuses on AWS, Kubernetes, Ansible, Terraform, Linux, Python, Bash, or Go.

• Experience:
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience working on production service deployments using Kubernetes.
  • Experience leading large-scale and high-impact technical projects.
  • Proven experience in Kubernetes, Dockerized workload deployment, and monitoring for large-scale distributed systems deployed in production.
  • Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
  • Experience developing large-scale Ansible automation.
  • Strong background in monitoring and observability, with tools such as Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, Grafana, and ELK Stack.
• Responsibilities:
  • Leading the complete service deployment and monitoring.
  • Mentoring other engineers in the team to follow best automation practices to reduce toil and leading the automation effort.
• Education:
  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
