Requirements

Candidates should possess 5+ years of hands-on experience working on Production service deployments using Kubernetes, along with experience leading large-scale and high-impact technical projects. Proven experience in Kubernetes, Dockerized workload deployment, and monitoring for large-scale distributed systems deployed on prod is required, as well as experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and developing large-scale Ansible automation. Strong background in monitoring and observability, utilizing tools such as Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, Grafana, and the ELK Stack is also necessary.

Responsibilities

The Cloud DevOps Engineer will be responsible for deploying and managing services across multi-cloud and on-premises environments, monitoring infrastructure for these services, developing new automation to reduce manual effort, and serving as the on-call owner for assigned services. They will also lead the complete service deployment and monitoring, mentor other engineers in the team to follow best automation practices, and contribute to the automation effort. Additionally, the role involves working closely with Developers, Infrastructure Engineers, and Product teams to build and maintain resilient systems, focusing on automation, continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD), observability, and cloud-native operations to support Zoom’s gateway services, and handling multiple services like Zoom AIC, Whiteboard, Notes, and Zoom Live Caption/Translation.
