Requirements

  • 2+ years clinical pharmacist experience in managed care (PBM) pharmacy setting and/or completion of managed care residency
  • Active pharmacist license that is in good standing
  • Demonstrated ability to work with large data sets and leverage MS Excel and/or MS Access, as well as other data analytics tools and platforms
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects
  • Demonstrated ability to recognize problems and/or issues and engage team to bring to resolution
  • Demonstrated understanding of formulary management and utilization management
  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (required)
  • Registered Pharmacist (required)
  • Candidate must reside in commutable distance to Buffalo Grove, IL, Pittsburgh, PA or Scottsdale, AZ office locations

Responsibilities

  • Engage within the Medical Affairs - Medicare Formulary Administration team to support the creation and maintenance of CVS Caremark’s standard and client-modified Medicare formularies and utilization management edits
  • Support the immediate team, Clinical Advisors and other teams to prepare CMS formulary files and formulary drug lists
  • Work with the team to provide direction to internal partners to implement utilization management related processes, projects, and requests
