Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) or higher
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in computer data entry (preferred)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and Google Product Suite
  • Familiarity with numeric, oral, and written language applications
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Typing speed of at least 45 wpm with high accuracy
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Organization skills and ability to stay focused on assigned tasks
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to learn new tasks and possess a positive, service-oriented attitude
  • Ability to work well with others and understand when to escalate issues appropriately

Responsibilities

  • Perform data entry for a specific product and case type with high accuracy and efficiency
  • QC information provided in laboratory information system (LIMS) to ensure proper accessioning
  • Accurately enter patient data into the Laboratory Inventory Management System (LIMS)
  • Ensure that the information in LIMS is up-to-date
  • Ensure that all paperwork provided belongs to the patient
  • Add clear notes and holds to identify and flag missing or discrepant information
  • Communicate electronically with various internal departments
  • Protect patient health information (PHI) at all times to ensure compliance with HIPAA and privacy policies
  • Maintain familiarity with standard operating procedures (SOP) and quality standards determined by the clinical laboratory
  • Complete training relating to HIPAA/PHI privacy, general policies and procedure compliance training and security training as soon as possible but not later than the first 30 days of hire
  • Maintain current status on Natera training requirements
  • Performs other duties as assigned
