Requirements

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for handling client inquiries via telephone, email, or online chat
  • Experience in a fast-paced client service environment
  • Strong mathematical and technical aptitude
  • Ability to troubleshoot and explain complex subjects
  • Capacity to identify opportunities for technology-based improvements
  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree preferred
  • Experience in financial services (e.g., brokerage, banking, trading, exchange, or clearinghouse) preferred
  • In-depth understanding of financial instruments (stocks, securities, options, futures, options on futures, foreign exchange, fixed income) preferred
  • Working knowledge of exchange operations, regulations, product offerings, specifications, execution platforms, rules, and margin methodologies preferred
  • FINRA Series 7, 63 or ability to obtain licenses
  • Multi-language skills are a plus

Responsibilities

  • Resolve routine and complex client service issues thoroughly and expeditiously, using sound judgment and courtesy
  • Handle client inquiries on topics including: operability of IBKR Trader Workstation, Web Trader, and Mobile Trader platforms (trading modules and analytical tools); cash deposit/withdrawal, position transfers, and account administration; product availability and attributes; exchange, clearing, and depository functions; order types and routing logic; order status, trade settlement, exercise/assignment, expiration processing, and corporate actions; margin calculations, commission structure, interest, and fees
  • Coordinate activities with local and international Client Service divisions
  • Interact with external departments such as Programming, Clearing, Cashiering, and Compliance on matters of common interest
  • Contribute to the development of client service systems, policies, and procedures
