Position Overview

Dandy is revolutionizing the dental industry by providing integrated technology solutions for dental practices. We are seeking a skilled Clear Aligner Designer to join our growing team. This role is crucial for developing high-quality, predictable clear aligner treatment plans that adhere to Dandy's clinical standards. The ideal candidate will possess experience in orthodontic treatment planning, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to follow clinical guidelines to ensure successful patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Design clear aligner treatment plans using patient scans and prescriptions, following internal best practices.
• Stage tooth movements predictably, incorporating attachments, interproximal reduction (IPR), and other auxiliaries for optimal treatment outcomes.
• Ensure accuracy and adherence to clinical guidelines and Dandy’s aligner design philosophy.
• Collaborate with QC specialists and clinical teams to incorporate feedback and enhance treatment plan quality.
• Utilize 3D treatment planning software (e.g., 3Shape Ortho Analyzer, Archform, Sofsmile, OnyxCeph) for precise and efficient designs.
• Continuously refine and optimize workflows to improve efficiency and standardization in aligner treatment planning.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in clear aligner treatment planning or orthodontic design.
• Proficiency in 3D treatment planning software such as 3Shape Ortho Analyzer, Archform, SoftSmile, OnyxCeph, ULab, or Orchestrate3D.
• Understanding of orthodontic tooth movements, attachments, IPR, and auxiliary techniques.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow internal planning best practices.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with QC specialists and clinical teams.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills for designing predictable orthodontic movements.
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with internal teams and clarifying design expectations.
• Good English speaking skills.
• Time management and organizational skills to handle multiple cases efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new tools and workflows.
• Ability to work US hours to align with Dandy’s operational needs.
• Openness to feedback and continuous learning.
• Team-oriented mindset with a strong work ethic and commitment to quality.

Bonus Points

• Experience with clear aligner manufacturing processes and workflows.
• Familiarity with 3D modeling software such as MeshMixer or Blender.
• Previous exposure to digital orthodontics and treatment planning workflows.
• Passion for innovation and process improvement in orthodontic treatment planning.
