Requirements

Candidates must be at least 21 years of age, possess a valid CDL Class A license with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications, have a high school diploma or GED preferred, and have at least six months of commercial driving experience or three months of food and beverage delivery experience. They must also be able to pass a DOT physical and have no more than two traffic violations in the past two years, no DUI convictions in the past three years, or driver’s license suspensions in the past three years.

Responsibilities

As a Class A Delivery Driver, responsibilities include delivering customers’ orders to meet scheduled delivery times, unloading products with a hand truck and placing them in customer storage areas, verifying deliveries with customers, collecting money when needed, performing repeated manual heavy lifting of items up to 80 pounds, making frequent stops during a work shift, delivering product in inclement weather conditions, and providing best-in-class customer service.
