Candidates should possess a college degree or equivalent claims management experience, with a minimum of 5 years in claims management and litigation. Prior experience directly managing or supervising claims personnel is preferred. A licensed claims adjuster in at least one home state is required, with a willingness to obtain additional licenses. Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel, along with strong communication and documentation skills, is necessary.
The Claims Supervisor will oversee a team of adjusters, providing training and ensuring quality control of claim files. Responsibilities include conducting performance evaluations, assigning new claim files based on adjuster experience, and ensuring timely technical notes are placed in files. The supervisor will also address client complaints, conduct claim conferences with stakeholders, review coverage evaluations and letters, and participate in committees and training seminars. They may manage key claim files, conduct internal audits, report high potential claims, present claim files at roundtables, and travel for meetings and negotiations.
