Requirements

  • Highly experienced and regulatory-savvy leader for a DNB-licensed Payment Institution
  • Extensive payment industry knowledge
  • Direct board-level experience in a Dutch-licensed financial entity
  • Strong command of European regulatory frameworks, especially under Dutch Central Bank (DNB) supervision

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the statutory director of the Dutch DNB-licensed Payment Institution, maintaining a strong governance framework in compliance with DNB requirements and EEA regulatory standards
  • Liaise effectively with the Board, Dutch Central Bank, and auditors to ensure ongoing compliance, timely reporting, and effective supervision
  • Oversee regulatory audits, license renewals, and all supervisory interactions in line with PSD2 and related regulatory obligations
  • Set and execute a clear strategic vision aligned with Tencent’s global fintech and gaming monetization goals within Europe
  • Drive the company's mission, values, and long-term growth objectives while balancing risk, regulatory responsibilities, and innovation
  • Lead and optimize core payment processing, safeguarding of customer funds, and treasury functions under strict regulatory oversight
  • Ensure robust operational controls, fund segregation, and transaction monitoring in accordance with AMLD and PSD2 guidelines
  • Own the overall P&L of Midas Europe, driving profitability while ensuring sustainable financial management of regulated operations
  • Implement scalable revenue models, cost efficiencies, and capital management strategies that support the organization’s growth
  • Spearhead the onboarding and expansion of gaming and digital merchants, ensuring regulatory alignment for EEA operations
  • Support Tencent’s international monetization efforts through compliant, innovative payment products tailored to the European gaming market
  • Cultivate high-value relationships with acquirers, PSPs, banks, and payment networks
